Private Lessons

We specialize in one-on-one private lessons for students of all ages, levels, styles, and instruments...but there is so much more!

Weekly music lessons with our staff of professional musicians and music instructors are at the heart of the PSSM student experience. Students enjoy learning a variety of instruments from professional instructors who are talented and degree-certified. Lessons and the student-teacher relationship are the foundations of our success.

But we also put on and participate in recitals, festivals, local community performances, and many other events throughout the year. Last year alone, PSSM students performed at Philips Arena, Turner Field, Red Clay Theater, Famous Pub, Pure Woodstock, Roswell Arts and Crafts festival, City of Alpharetta Christmas events, Milton Roundup, Menchie's, Scoops, Cans Taqueria, Belly's Pizza and other venues across the Atlanta metro area. Many of these performance opportunities are at no additional charge to students, and participants in live events are accompanied and managed by PSSM staff.

Additionally, 2012 saw PSSM open Lucky Dog Studios in Alpharetta. Lucky Dog is a full service professional recording studio featuring state of the art equipment and experienced sound engineering staff where students (or anyone else) can not only make their dreams come true by recording music, but also learn about modern studio and DIY recording and production processes. Students from PSSM performed on the studio's first album, A Very Lucky Christmas (available on iTunes), and will have the chance to perform on future album projects at the studio...in addition to creating their own independent projects, too.

What is a Production Deal?

What is a Production Deal?

by Robert Marshall

music production pic

A production deal is an agreement between a producer and an artist to produce a record. Simple, right? Just like the search for a record label, the decision is much easier once the artist understands what types of deals are available, and which one works for the artist’s vision.

No two production deals are exactly alike, but there are three categories to which most of today’s deals are trending: the Mini-Record Deal, the Joint Venture, and the Work-for-Hire Deal.
